Ho yeah, "Bullitt". I moved to San Francisco in 71. I drove in from Chicago in a 66 Mustang. I'd seen "Bullitt" of course, and found most of the locations in the movie. Some time later, my mom came out for a visit, and I gave her a ride up and down the hills at about 30 miles per hour - nothing like Steve McQueen's driving, but it scared her plenty. Later she was telling her friends all about it.
I also really liked the car chase under the elevated train in "The French Connection" with Gene Hackman doing the driving chasing the train. Gaaa! Exciting or what! And unforgettable.
