Here is a photo I took in Florence when I was there in 1982. I had gone to the Basilica of Santa Croce to see the sights there and was walking back through alleys near the Arno River. I saw an old man walking ahead of me and imagined I was him sometime in the future. (I still have many years to go luckily, in case you were wondering, which I suppose you weren't.)
marstokyo is going for a visit in Italia soon, and so I got this down to photograph and post along with a comment in her journal. It's in a plexi box frame, 5x7, dusty. I put it in some raking sunlight from the kitchen window. Looks kinda cool. Taken with my trusty old (retired) Canon 35mm SLR.
Street in Florence near Santa Croce.
I'd very much like to live on a street like this, if I resided in Florence, or anywhere.
