These folks are just down the alley a ways. I hear them singing up a storm, and the uniformed kids shouting out their youthful freedom at their recess periods occasionally. It doesn't seem like there are that many students at the 'Christian Academy ~ K-12'; like 10 at most. The singing sessions last for an hour or two twice a week, evenings though, and sound well attended. They are an ecstatic sounding, rock identity, Christian music sort of sound where individual singers seem to rise above the general group. The music is repetitive and rhythm driven. "He's Alive. He's Alive. He's Alive." seems very high on the charts.

He's Alive. Photobucket

Most of the time I don't see anybody around, like this photo shows, but sometimes older people suspiciously watch me pass when I go down to the B & W Cafe, and never has anyone called out a greeting or waved or anything, even if I have first. They look like a jury up there, thinking, "Who is that? We don't know him. Why is he waving, looking at us?" I always have my camera, but never take it out when anybody is present out in their yard. I don't think they would like it with kids around, and I'm not even much interested in any "He's Alive" existence anyway. The parents all drive SUV's They stop out in the center of the alley, blocking the normal flow, and leave off/pick up their kids for the days instruction. Private schools are not cheap. Quality of education? One can only imagine. Integration of student body? Take a wild guess.
