I heard a shooting about a block or two away around 6 PM, three shots followed by a siren a minute or two later, and then still later, an ambulance, and now this situation (no shots fired) at 11PM. Vallejo on a drizzly Sunday night.

A 22-year-old man was shot at least once in the leg in a drive-by shooting Sunday afternoon, Vallejo police said.
The man was riding his scooter by a parking lot on Sonoma Boulevard and Indiana Street at about 5 p.m. when someone shot him from of a car, police said.

The alleged shooter's small green sedan -- possibly an Acura -- was last seen northbound on Sonoma Boulevard, police said.

Police found several casings on the street in front of the Mi Ranchito grocery store.

An eyewitness who was shopping in the store at the time, said she heard at least five gun shots.

From their initial investigation, police said the victim seemed to be an innocent passerby and not the intended target of the shooting.

The victim was taken to Sutter Solano Medical Center by an ambulance for non-life threatening injuries, Vallejo Fire Department said.

There were three suspects in the car.

They were described as young Hispanic or black men.
