These are the rear windows of a hotel for old poor people. They are in Chinatown, above expensive tourist gift stores on Grant Street. Each tenant has a small room, and they share a bathroom down the hall. Lots of these places are disappearing, becoming gentrified or demolished. No one knows what people are supposed to do when they are old and poor, and they are not talking or doing much about it either.
I am familiar with those kinds of places that share a bathroom down the hall.
It's getting to be that the country doesn't care about anyone unless they are millonaire businessmen: government OF rich people, BY rich people and FOR rich people. They are not even using the common people as worker bees but outsourcing the jobs and paying those people peanuts plus buying things they could get here, like steel, from China.
