I forgot to say that I watched some of those Buster Keaton shorts that you posted. We used to watch Buster Keaton when I was a kid, along with the Keystone Kops.
Weren't they funny. They seemed to have edited bits of a dozen or two of his films and created a sort of jumbled up dream story; put them with that exciting composition of John Adams. ( John Adams resides here in the Bay Area.) What an athlete/dare devil/tremendously funny comedian Buster Keaton was.
This is another picture from the small town Port Costa nearby on the Sacramento River. The old cement building is very large and was once a grain warehouse for the wheat industry. Now it houses a few shops, the town post office, and a large bar where bikers like to converge on the weekends - called the Warehouse Cafe. It's quite an interesting place.
I've been there a few times, and it was quiet, chock full of antiques and curiosities, and just interesting and restful - but it was not on a biker weekend day. That probably changes the scene quite a bit, although maybe not. People just like to have fun after all, and one can avoid trouble usually.
