We've had rain off and on for the past few days, but today it is sunny and bright with big puffy cumulous clouds floating by up above. It is chilly though. It should be much warmer here now, this time of year. I wish it would get warmer because I want to go out and make more junk mail paper. I've been tooling up a bit for that, and want to try a few things to see if I can better the quality of the paper. The last few warm days we had, I got all set up to make more paper and try my ideas out, but the blender for making the pulp burnt out, and the thrift stores around here didn't have any cheap ones at the time. I guess I should look around again for another one. Brrr! Chilly!
I've been at work in SF the last few weeks. Today a new camera arrived and I am just now charging up the battery. It's a Panasonic ZS1 and is tiny enough to fit in my pocket, so I can bring it along to the city when I go to work. I always have time before and after work to take pictures while walking to and from the Ferry Building, so I plan on making good use of that wander time to get good pics of the city and it's wonderfully interesting people - and at the best times of day too, dawn and golden afternoon/dusk. Plus, my mood, sometimes in a depressed mode while traversing to and from "the work", will be lightened up considerably with some exciting creativity to look forward to w/ the new mini camera. (I'm still waiting for the 4 gig memory card and will order a second battery off ebay too.)
Have fun with the Panasonic. I've gone back to my old Fuji since I'm more familiar with the manual settings, but I need to get some batteries into the other camera again. I could probably do with an extra pair since I like to have two pairs for the Fuji which seems to eat up the power more so I like to have the spare pair ready to use. This has left the Samsung without batteries, but it's the smaller of the two cameras and therefore quite handy when my pockets are smaller.
