Thanks. Yes I did. It's a small acrylic painting on wood about 12 x 10". I did it a while ago, but didn't like it too much. It sat around unable to reveal it's charms to me, I didn't show it to anybody, and one day I reworked it to how it is here. I still wouldn't have let it out, except I thought I'd try my new through-the-viewfinder camera on it. This process has a mirror involved, and so reverses the image. I think the image being reversed actually improves the painting. That's kind of strange, huh. Here it was before I repainted it, hanging on the fence out back.
Ugh-> Don't show anybody, pleeeze, Oo! It has a certain cruel person femme fatale look to it which I am not into at all - what was I thinking? The re-do has a sort of startled look which is less fantasy and more impulse. Any kind of fantasy work usually kind of turns me off. Lots of people are into it, in their art, and in their writing. To me it's a completely different place than creativity or inspiration. I'm not, and just can't seem to see the fascination. Poor me, I guess, but real and it's mysteries and uncertain future, wherein we actually live seems a thousand times more interesting.
I like the reversal and one colour much better. She looks scary in the before version. And I know EXACTLY what you mean with image flip because I do it all the time with my face avatars. It does make big differences in how they look.
It's like putting a sheet of paper over half your face (or anyone's) and changing it from side to side. Each half of your face is very different as a rule.
I prefer fantasy most of the time in people because I like how beautiful they look. In landscapes, realism is interesting.
