Also, I thought this painting that Levkonoe posted remided me of the effect you get from your new camera, but with the painting, I thought something was wrong with it until I translated the title: 'Motes in the Beam' by Helena Yushin. :)
That's cool. Everybody has seen those bright specs in the light before, but I can't think of anyone else who may ever have painted them. I wonder if the artist actually tipped them in with a brush, or if they were applied in a sort of splatter technique - like with a thumb and tooth brush?
I don't know that the sailboat is actually derelict. It is a wooden boat, and looks in need of paint and maintenance. There are no furled sails on the boom like most of the other boats. I have never seen it leave for a cruise nor seen anyone on board, although that is not surprising since one rarely sees anyone on the boats. Maybe somebody lives aboard and it is a "houseboat". That is a real cheap way to live; uncomfortable though. Nearby are toilet and shower facilities for the boaters, and several restaurants - maybe even a laundry in the restroom/shower building - a co-op among the socialist yacht owners, hah! There is hope.
