The Saturday auctions are for the bottom feeders, and most of the art stuff is pretty mediocre to awful with here and there a few interesting items. Their more valuable stuff is auctioned on Sunday. This dark seascape caught my eye in the Saturday catalog. It said: "Framed oil on board, Seascape with Moored Boats and Figures, signed indistinctly lower right, overall: 17.5''h x 23.5''w. Estimates: $100-200. Start Price: $50." The winning bid on this one was $1600. which was a big surprise to everyone I'm sure.
