LOL And GOOD for you. After all, todays Macy's puffed up finery is tomorrow's happy Goodwill find.
You know what I like to buy at Goodwill stores frequently? Blenders. I use them to mush up my junkmail paper and make new sheets of thick handmade deckle edge paper which I use for making receipts for my artist clients when I fill their orders. I burn out the blenders because I often put too much stuff in them to grind up. They start struggling and then the smoke starts, followed by the electric smell. They're cheap, and the paper is fine, fine, fine. I'm still perfecting it though. Not not quite art drawing quality yet.
I noticed that woman in front of Macy's (she's actually across the street in Union Square park) has a smart phone in her hand. Maybe she's comparative shopping on line before she goes in to get mugged in Macy's or Saks, or Nieman-Marcus, or Bloomingdale's, or Nordstrom...
