Lots of people say my stuff looks like paintings. It's not surprising I guess, since painting is my background; probably I see that way, concieve of the pictures that way through the viewfinder, and then move the images in that direction in processing. But how do you think they look like paintings - I mean what certain qualities do you see that make you say that? Is it the types of images I do, the composition, other things...?
On this one here, it was the starkness and colour of it plus the tree and the window at the top, and I say header image because those are the kind of things I like looking at: trees, windows, certain colours, buildings etc. Maybe when I look at paintings all day I just have a tendency to turn things into paintings in my mind.
