One greenish tree (a monster) among the silent ones, gesticulating above the plow'd, rational no-man's-land. (Separating the light from the darkness?) I'm not a believer.

Me too. Maybe it is for new grape vines. Something to grow and tend rather than something to remember for awhile, and then forget.
