Yes. There are raccoons around the area (I used to live about two blocks from Zuni and saw the raccoons occasionally). Maybe sometimes the raccoons go into the tree to sleep during the daytime. The restaurant is really good - the raccoons could hardly pick a better, more tasty place to mooch for food.
