I was on the ferry going from Vallejo to SF about 10:30 am. It was very foggy and grey, not so dark as this, but I wanted to bring out the linear pattern of the bridge truss work. It just so happened that there was a break in the cloud cover and the ship and parts of the bridge were spotlighted by the sun, so I took a few pictures. This is on the south side of the bridge looking north into San Pablo Bay, as we head south into San Francisco Bay.
A moment later we could see the Golden Gate, Angel Island, Alcatraz, and the city, and all was clear, but it was a very overcast and chilly day in SF.
