Thank you. I live about 5 blocks from the first picture. Some of the buildings are gone, but otherwise everything is the same. The peaked roof building behind the horse drawn wagon (and behind the flat top white building) is now a small art gallery located @ Florida and Marin Streets. It's in one of the old sections of town. The further east from the river (and the old shipyard) the newer the houses and buildings are.
Vallejo is in bad straits now days. It was hit hard by the closure of Mare Island shipyard in the 90's, a bankruptcy, and immediately thereafter, the Great Recession - which is more like a depression. Lots of problems and troubles; few progressive initiatives to do anything about it.
