I like this! And her arms are so beautifully painted - so lifelike in colour and texture. The yellow flowers make that dress and give a nice splash of brighter colour.

I just can't get over the virtuosity of Sargent's painting, especially here in this one. I added a close-up.

It's amazing what he's able to capture with a few strokes of his brush. Especially the light and shade of the fabric.

I know, and it is so exciting to witness his direct and spontaneous inspiration, drawing in paint.
