Nice old house a few blocks from me on Sacramento Street. It's got lots of trees in the back, and I imagine myself playing electric guitar on the front porch to the passing cars. Thinking of getting a telecaster. I used to play guitar - it's been a long time.

I'd have to sneak over at night time to paint that blue stuff white, and then there's that battle ax on the front porch. And somebody would have to hold the flashlight so I could see what I'm doing... interested???

About guitar, I used to have one, but over time I more and more just played for myself and stopped learning new things, and it got stale. I gave my classical guitar to a friend, and left my electric out in the street in SF when I moved to Vallejo.

Thinking about getting another guitar after 20 years without playing one I realize I'll have a short learning curve to get back to where I was, but seriously, I'd like to make an effort to get really proficient and learn the theory of playing (pentatonic scales and modes - which connects to my interest in medieval art and music and mathematics). It would not only be a musical/art expansion of my life, but an intellectual one - which will maybe keep my aging brain sharp. I imagine painting pictures and then getting a little tired and sitting back rocking out on guitar while I contemplate my painting work, all the while pursuing knowledge, and having fun in a most exciting way. But then, the whole endeavor would cost about $500+. Eh, I'll think about it. Maybe I'll lose interest.
