This reminds me of all the times I was in a pawn shop -- and some of the things I never was able to get back. :/

They seem to be thriving, more than ever. The big one in Vallejo is really sleazy. You can feel the sleaze and predatory nature even just looking at the stuff. Then somebody comes over to "help" and they're like an archetype of a grifter. Sad for all of us, huh; so many people falling, and in trouble; so many more ready to take 'em for all they got.
