Maybe the new street is so we can drive around after the flooding. Looks like about 30 feet high.
When I moved to SF in '71, all this whole area was only 3 or 4 story buildings. There was a whole big printing industry right around this area. It's all gone, except for the occasional small building survivor like these two in the foreground. It looks like they are just going to be buried by new development and be a subterranean city.
