Djaza took me to TARTINE BAKERY Thursday. Fun and delicious.

Then we went out to Ocean Beach and up above Sutro's. Later, over the GG Bridge and the San Rafael Bridge over to Berkeley to pick up my truck from the garage. It needed a new fuel pump and other stuff. It works well now (so far).

I wonder if Djaza once took a photo of that second place. It reminds me of a couple of places here I went to as a child, one in England, one in Scotland, where the sea flooded a swimming pool. Or maybe that place above is something different? I almost think I commented on something like this before, ages ago. Maybe on my old journal.

We have both been there before and posted pictures of it. It is the remains of a place called SUTRO BATHS and was once a giant complex of salt water swimming pools and a museum/cabinet of curiosities during the Victorian era. The place finally caught fire during demolition in the 1960s. Developers were thinking of some sort of condo project for the property, but the area was included as part of the National Park System, and all development plans were stopped, including the remaining demolition. These remains are situated just outside of the Golden Gate Strait on the Pacific Ocean in the north west corner of San Francisco.
