Hmm. Wine jar shards. Maybe Horemheb got put in his tomb before he was dead.

I watched a movie once where this important Egyptian dude died, and they put this beautiful but unwilling young woman inside the pyramid's burial vault to keep him company in the afterlife and then sealed the tomb. :P

In India, the practice continues, both voluntarily and coerced. Stupidity and cruelty about covers it. I have not read about the Greeks doing this, but I know the Hindu practice of it was written about in Greek history.
