Vallejo is a pleasant place, but it has lots of seemingly intractable problems. I feel that I show many sides of the place in my thriving vallejo pictures. An LJ friend of mine in Tucson AZ used to live in this house. I put the pic in here for her.

My bad--you do show many sides! I guess I had the impression that you felt mainly negative but I'm glad that's not true, or not the whole story, at least.

Well, it is what it is. I kind of find the dark and unfortunate parts interesting, just as I do the beautiful, privileged parts. Everything has it's pluses and minuses. I'm glad I'm aware of and curiously attracted to all aspects. You'd be amazed at how many people I know, from every social strata and about their shifting perches on the criminality/saintly continuum.

Thanks. My photobucket ate up all my pics a few months ago, demanding a $400 ransom, so I have been away from journaling until recently.

I saw that you returned to LJ. Photobucket won't host your photos for free, but they should all still be there when you log in, and you can download and re-host. These people are very good for a quick upload, and you don't even have to register. Don't know how reliable they will turn out to be.

It might be be cheaper to just get a domain name and have an inexpensive website hosted for yourself where you can stash your photos and show them off.

Thanks for the advice. I haven't decided what to do yet. I started looking at some of the photo hosting things, but haven't made a decision about any of this. I have seen that my stuff is still there at Photobucket, but I have not done anything about it yet. I sort of have the feeling that those photos were then, and now is now. Photography is really a hobby and a therapy for me that get's me out of the house, out of my thoughts, and out of my troubles..
