Another option is to use it as part of a sound meditation. Instead of going away from the dogs, sit with the sound and mentally try to get in the middle of it and feel the space around you in the middle of it.
When I was in the nursing home, and the guy in the room next to me who was well cared for, with his family there for a few hours a day, used to yell and bang the bedrail. The nurses wrapped his hands in towels so he wouldn't harm himself while he was banging and yelling. I pretended he was a bird, which helped me remember that I didn't have to do anything about the noise. When I felt no pressure to do something about the noise, I could tolerate it a little bit better.
No, it's OK. I was merely repeating Boris and Bruno"s thoughts on the matter after I explained (yelled) your words, and shinsetsu's, to them. They were smiling while grrrrring. I almost felt confident enough to reach through the hole in the fence they have scratched through, to pet their toothy, grinning heads; they were grrrrring and so happily looking at each other, smiling, and then glancing hungrily at me, their new best friend... I think they were liking what they were hearing, tyger. They both started cheering, in agreement with my every word. But, I thought I should wait until I had sone nice treats for them, to sort of cement our new exciting friendship.
