Here is a painting by Pierre Bonnard that both djaza and I, after long consultation, decided was our take home favorite from all the masterpieces in the whole show (although some of the Van Gogh's and Vuillards were most difficult to pass on). It's 20.5x13". This is taken from a postcard so it is only a dullish simulacrum of the original. One does what one can.

Strange cat. He looks like he has just seen something he takes exception to.

Well, his gallery was full of all kinds of strange people. Everybody coming up close and saying, "Oh how beautiful, I love it!"

"IT?" thinks the cat, just hoping for a little peace and quiet, a little dignity...

Oi! Now you have made me feel anxious for that cat! You should go back and reassure him. I thought at first he was up for auction, and I was going to tell you to go back and get him immediately!!!!

He's French, only on loan while they paint his house. A Parisian cat wanting to stay out here in the provinces, with everybody pawing and Oo La La-ing all day. No, Camille-Kitty will be glad to be heading out of here I'm sure. He never could get fond of Tabby Bits Cat food from the can, being raised on Fois gras and oyster paté.
