I think American Canyon is undergoing a building boom. Developers just want to make cheap crap houses, and need to start spreading out into the wetlands to maximize their profits. Heh, in 50 years the whole area will probably begin flooding. What, we're going to build a huge dam to protect American Canyon, historical and cultural capital of nowhere from sea level rise? And who would want to buy a new house in a previous wild wetland? The house would be sinking, cracking, full of molds... and full of moldy people, the type who would think Uh-merican Canyon could provide the lifestyle of their dreams.
